ACCOUNTANT – ROODEPOORT (3900)

Qualifications:

• Grade 12/ equivalent
• An Accounting / Bookkeeping certificate or diploma
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field will be an advantage

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 or more years working experience in a similar position
• Syspro would be an advantage
• Very strong MS Excel and Word skills
• A stable work record and contactable references
• Reside close to Roodepoort
• Reliable transport
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• A clear ITC and Criminal record
• Preferably a non-smoker

Duties and responsibilities:

• Bank & General Ledger reconciliation
• Processing and reconciliation of creditors
• Processing of month end journals
• Assist with VAT and PAYE calculation and submissions
• Processing and reconciliation of cashbooks
• Prepare and process journals for inter-company loan accounts
• Balance inter-company loan accounts
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Assist in the managing of the external audit
• Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
• General administrative tasks
