QUALITY MANAGER – Eastern Cape
International Automotive component manufacturing company in East London require a competent Quality Manager with at least 5 years experience as Quality Manager in the Automotive Manufacturing industry is an Essential requirement for this position to effectively, develop, implement and maintain quality systems to ensure capable processes that parts produce according to customer requirements
Qualifications
- B Tech – Quality or Engineering
- Min 5 years experience in Quality within an automotive environment experience in Auditing
- Min 3 years’ experience in implementing Quality systems within an automotive environment
- Must be able to read and understand drawings and plans.
- Computer literate
Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation and managing the quality system at the manufacturing facility.
- Schedule and execute Internal and sub–supplier audits.
- Manage quality process team members.
- Ensure implementation of OE specific requirements and implementation of ISO and IATF 16949 standards.
- Manage the manning of the total quality department.
- Budget planning and control expenses.
- Plan capex expenditure.
- Ensure the establishment, implementation and maintenance of an effective quality system.
- Implement and maintain quality system administration and document control system.
- Manage and ensure the implementation of corrective actions identified by internal and external audits.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure quality parameters in the manufacturing process.
- Budget planning and control of department expenses.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement areas to maintain the quality level of the parts
- Maintain QMS in accordance with the relevant OEM customer requires and international standards ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949
- Complete and maintain PFMEA’s and control plans
- Compile APQP and PAPP to customer requirements
- Conversion of ISO/TS 16949 and ISO9001 TO IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015
- Manage customer specific systems
- Ensure proper recording of all data required for indicators
