SUMMARY:
Marromeu Area – Mozambique:  Our client seeks the services of an energetic cropping manager with the necessary experience to join their team.  Due to accommodation successful candidates need to be single

POSITION INFO:
Please note this is a remote location
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Agricultural diploma/degree
  • Cropping Experience essential
  • Ability and skill to handle 2500ha of sugar cane from A – Z
  • Management of agronomic aspects (nurseries, development, fertilization, harvesting and maintenance)
  • Setting up and maintenance of infrastructure (roads, bridges, irrigation, etc.)
  • Budget monitoring and cost control
  • Supervision of the workforce (farm managers, team leaders and workers, 300 people at any one time)
  • Control of subcontractors
  • Proven ability to operate and maintain high end tractors, spreaders, planters
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Computer literate
  • Maintenance orientated
  • Hard working and prepared to work long hours
  • Organized, pragmatic, pro-active, results-oriented
  • Autonomous
  • Field-oriented
  • Team player
  • Strong communication skills, social skills
  • Intelligent leadership
  • Willing and able to adapt to living conditions in a remote environment
