SUMMARY:
Letsitele Area – Limpopo: Our client is looking for an Agri Technical & Sales Manager to join the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for management of all technical & sales aspects of the Company businesses located in Letsitele including operations, marketing, and research.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s in science or relevant horticulture degree
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in agriculture / nursery business
- Driving licence
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED- Organisational skills: efficient and accurate planning
- Team-player, but able to work independently
- Resource and time management
- Problem solving ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent use of Microsoft Office
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Operations / Production
- Manage and monitor production activities and personnel.
- Manage and monitor product and service quality, and standards.
- Strategically evaluate operations for improvements and efficiencies
- Maintain a safe and environmentally friendly working environment.
Client communication
- Develop a working knowledge of the various crops (Citrus + sub-tropical crops)
- Ensure client satisfaction (timeous communication and tree quality)
- Engage in workshops, symposia, marketing, and sales travelling programmes.
- Monitor local and international markets opportunities.
Administration
- Upkeep of records
- Provide various monthly reports.
- Good communication with internal and external customers
- Manage budgets.
Research
- Present strategic research projects
- Oversee implementation of research and development
- Reporting of R&D findings
- Monitor markets – opportunities in Africa and information gathering across sectors
