SUMMARY:
Are you an accounting or finance professional looking to build hands-on experience in a regional, shared services environment? Our client is seeking a Temporary Africa AP Accountant to support centralized Accounts Payable operations across multiple African countries within a global organization, for a 9 month contract.
In this role, you’ll be an integral part of the Africa finance team, managing AP activities across all JDE-ledgers and working closely with Ledger Controllers and centralized finance teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Process and allocate Accounts Payable invoices daily (JDE/TAP)
Ensure accurate coding, tax compliance, and adherence to DOA policies
Resolve supplier and in-country AP queries efficiently
Process intercompany invoices and prepare weekly payment runs
Assist with supplier reconciliations and month-end reporting
Support statutory, tax, and audit requirements
Contribute to maintaining strong internal controls

What We’re Looking For

Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Administration
Experience in accounting, finance administration, or financial analysis
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
