Accountable Manager ( AMO)

SUMMARY:
Company based in Johannesburg is looking for an Accountable Manager ( AMO) with an Aviation background and experience in running an Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO)

POSITION INFO:
Education and Qualifications:

• Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME Licence holder)
• Business Management Diploma/Degree
• Safety and Quality Assurance Certification
• Rotorcraft and Fixed Wing type ratings applicable to AMO approved Scope of Work
• +- Eight years knowledge and experience in development and management of aircraft maintenance logistical support systems with a proven track record of achievements in previous roles
• +- Eight years relevant experience in the aircraft maintenance environment with a proven track record of achievements in previous roles.
• Have existing relationships with key suppliers (Airbus, Safran preferable)
• Have existing working knowledge of Traxxall, AMP (Aircraft Maintenance Planning) and AMS (Aircraft Maintenance Schedules) software (preferable)
• Deep knowledge of both the technical and operational management of aircraft maintenance (Rotor Wing and Fixed Wing required)
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and requirements, relevant to the operations and aircraft maintenance requirements
• Strong discipline to upholding performance standards, organisational objectives and goals

• Develop and implement systems and controls to enable the effective functioning of all sections under your control in the AMO (including Remote Pilot Aircraft Systems) and ensure maximum availability of aircraft and related equipment.
• Set annual plans and budgets for Group approval which cover the resources, spares, and spares programs needed to provide the maintenance services in Africa and preparation of the overall organisation and budget.
• Provide informed cost analysis for new contracts and ensure strict control of these budgets post contract award for implementation and monthly maintenance operating costs for the aircraft and personnel allocated.
• Control and manage the accounting and administration systems and resources to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure that regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures are complied with when carrying out maintenance and managing the various maintenance departments.
• Build a strong team to deliver superb maintenance services and the systems to ensure enforcement of a quality and safety culture.
• Develop and implement the servicing strategy and standards to conform to international best practice.
• Manage and control in-field support services to deployed aircraft and personnel in terms of routine spares support and AOG scenarios as defined by the SLA.
• Identify and arrange training through iteration with personnel.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and participate in the negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal aircraft, logistics arrangement and spares deals / packages.
• Provide insight into fleet additions, sales and overall planning.
• Build and maintain a strong relationship between BD Executive and Operations Accountable Manager.
• Regular travel to Operational Bases required (Local and International).
