Key Responsibilities:
Business Accountant

• Maintain accurate financial records, including recording all transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
• Produce monthly management reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, providing in-depth analysis to clients for informed decision-making.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and actively track actual performance against budgets. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation.
• Prepare annual financial statements and provisional tax calculations for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing financial information and resolving queries.

Process Improvement and Systems Integration:

• Collaborate with clients to solve specific financial issues or problems.
• Innovate and automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Act as a resource investigator, proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization and technology integration.
• Collaborate with the systems software developer to implement new tools and technologies to enhance accounting systems and processes.

Skills and Experience required:

• Diploma or degree in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero (Xero experience is advantageous).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Effective time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A strong passion for leveraging technology and software to enhance automation and work efficiency.

This is a fulltime permanent position based in office in Somerset West.

Area: Somerset West.

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Salary: R25 000-R35 000 CTC per month.
