POSITION INFO:

Accountant required for a reputable firm based in East London 

Requirements 

• 3 - 5 years previous experience fulfilling a similar position 
• Preparation of client records to trial balance 
• Preparation of annual financial statements
• Pastel, Xero, Caseware / Caseview, Sage One (cloud based) essential
• Preparation of statutory financial statements compliant with International Financial Reporting standards and IFRS for SME

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reporting standards and IFRS for SMEs
• Processing of monthly work for clients, including management accounts and preparation of statutory returns such as VAT timeously
• Create and provide accurate budgets and quotes to existing and potential clients
• Preparation and implementation of business plans and accounting systems for clients
• Preparation of cash flow projections and budget reviews for clients and the department
• Involvement from time to time in special assignments including accounting systems implementation for clients and taxation services
• Planning, execution, report writing, monitoring and reviewing of any assignments allocated to yourself
• Liaise and resolve queries with clients
• Actively assist to source new clients
• Processing client accounting records (data capture) and preparation of their records to trial balance and annual financial statements
• Preparation & completion and final review of files for accounting officer review and review engagement in accordance with ISRE 2400
