Our client in the mining industry is looking for a Site Accountant to join their team
POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
- Grade 12
- BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
- Working towards CIMA (advantageous)
- 5 years accounting experience, particularly in cost accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (mandatory)
- Accpac experience (desirable)
- Experience in procurement (advantageous)
- Fluent in English, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Driver’s license and own transport (preferred)
- Must be medically fit (as per Mine Health & Safety Act)
Key Responsibilities:
- Diesel usage reconciliation and monitoring
- Analyze raw material and final product reports
- Perform and analyze production and inventory reconciliations
- Support production reporting, forecasting, and costing reports
- Assist HODs with cost-saving initiatives
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Involved in BEE rating and scorecard monitoring
- Improve internal controls, systems, and procedures
- Create and support operational and management reports
- Execute specialized procurement functions
