SUMMARY:
A well-established financial services company, specialising in foreign exchange and cross-border transactions, is looking for a hands-on Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function. This role is ideal for someone who has completed their SAICA or SAIPA articles and is ready to step into a dynamic, end-to-end finance role.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for the financial accounting function
Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
Managing the budgeting and forecasting process
Overseeing cash flow and working capital
Handling VAT, tax, and statutory submissions
Performing reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
Assisting with internal and external audits
Providing financial reporting and business insights

Requirements:

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
A relevant BCom Degree (Accounting/Finance)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with SARS submissions and month-end processes
High attention to detail and strong time management
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar)
