SUMMARY:
A fast-growing group operating in the food production sector is seeking a hands-on and detail-driven Accountant to join its Pretoria-based operation. This role supports the financial operations of a leading meat processing plant, with involvement across the wider group.

POSITION INFO:
Reports to: Group Accountant & Group Shareholder
Working closely with: Business Unit Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support the full accounting function of the meat processing plant
Ensure statutory compliance across the group
Provide accounting assistance across various group companies

Minimum Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting (Postgrad advantageous but not essential)
Professional registration with SAIPA/SAICA
Solid working knowledge of Sage 50C Pastel Partner, Pastel Payroll, and MS Office
Familiarity with South African tax legislation
Own reliable transport

Open to learning and eager to develop deep business knowledge
Strong leadership and support capabilities within an admin/finance team

The salary bracket for the role is around R30 - R35k CTC p/m. Note that it is the client's prerogative, regardless of advertised package, to offer a market related salary considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and level of experience.
