Accountant

SUMMARY:
An Accountant is needed.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is currently seeking an Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis, near Bryanston. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and general ledger management.

Duties:

• Assist Auditors with explanations and queries
• Assist the GM: Finance with any audit requirements
• Supply management with reasonable and accurate figures to assist with decision making regarding the future of the business
• Prepare monthly, well-presented reconciliations, ensuring that the content in the reconciliations makes sense
• Ensure that all reporting requirements, both internal and external, are accurate and submitted on time
• Ensure that all accounting entries and deadlines are managed and met on a monthly basis
• Reconciliations of the general ledger accounts every month and ensure that they balance
• Analyze numbers and address concerns with the relevant parties

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required)
• BCom Degree in Finance (completed)
• Advanced Excel is essential
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and Microsoft Office
• Deadline-driven, analytical, and a team player
