POSITION INFO:

Our Finance recruitment desk currently has a vacancy for an Accountant.

The accountant will serve as the key finance member. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial processes including creditors, billing, collections, month-end reporting, procurement, cost-saving initiatives and budgeting. The position requires close collaboration with ground operations, procurement, and finance teams across multiple entities, while maintaining strict compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

A BCOM is minimum and not negotiable.

Articles will be a strong advantage.

A good balance between commercial and technical skills.

Candidate must be hands on.

Experience with financial modelling and budgeting.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in operational accounting/finance, preferably in logistics, hospitality, maritime, or tourism industries.

Strong experience in creditors, billing, and collections processes.

Exposure to procurement and cost-saving projects.

Month-end close and reporting experience essential.

Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (SAP/Navision experience advantageous).

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Willingness to travel to operational sites (KwaZulu Cruise Terminal, Portuguese Island, Mozambique) as required.
