SUMMARY:
Are you a hands-on, detail-driven Accountant who thrives in a dynamic and growing environment?

POSITION INFO:
This role will see you managing end-to-end accounting responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounts, month-end reporting, fixed assets, VAT returns, corporate tax entries and supporting audits.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, identifying process improvements, and supporting sound financial decision-making.

This role is based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and support internal audit processes.
Manage intercompany reconciliations, analyse ageing, and resolve outstanding items.
Support month-end close and prepare financial/operational reports.
Process payroll journals and reconcile payroll postings.
Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly VAT returns and assist with corporate tax accounting.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register and lease module.
Review supplier reconciliations and process journals.
Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and integrity.
Assist with annual financial statements and external audit requirements.
Provide cover for weekly cash flow forecasting when required.
Drive and implement finance process improvements.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Degree in Accounting/Finance with a professional accounting qualification.
5+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting exposure.
Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Experience with Pastel Partner advantageous.
