POSITION INFO:
Job Description:
Our client is a respected and reputable Engineering company with a strong footprint across South Africa’s industrial landscape. Renowned for their technical expertise, safety-focused culture, and commitment to operational excellence, they offer an environment where finance professionals are trusted business partners supporting both strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare full Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
Compile audit packs and liaise with external auditors
Report to external stakeholders, including funders and regulatory bodies
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers, including plant, machinery, and specialised engineering equipment
Account for capital projects, refurbishments, and asset life-cycle costs
Handle VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations
Assist with or independently prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses
Provide financial and management reporting to support project performance and operational efficiency
Support compliance with IFRS and internal governance standards

Skills Required:

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Syspro)
Strong Excel, reporting, and financial analysis skills
Solid knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a project-based, technical environment

Experience:

Minimum 3 years (Post Articles)
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, mining, rail, or energy sectors (advantageous)
Exposure to asset-intensive or project-based environments (highly beneficial)
