SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-driven Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment?

POSITION INFO:
A well-established organisation is looking for a hands-on professional to take ownership of the full accounting function across multiple branches.

This role is based in Germiston, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and detailed General Ledger records for allocated branches, ensuring completeness up to Trial Balance
Process journals, perform GL reconciliations, and prepare supporting schedules
Oversee the month-end close process across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cashbook, ensuring all sub-ledgers are finalised in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Capture and process ad hoc supplier invoices, including telecom-related expenses
Manage and review the cashbook function, resolving queries and ensuring accurate cash flow recording
Administer Fixed Assets and CAPEX processes, including maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, posting depreciation, and handling asset disposals
Prepare and reconcile monthly VAT calculations
Distribute monthly debtor statements and support collections where required
Compile daily sales reporting and assist with performance tracking
Analyse financial results and provide insightful commentary on variances
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation timeously
Assist with the preparation of budgets for assigned branches
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Perform ad hoc reporting and finance-related duties as required

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting or similar
3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience
Strong understanding of financial processes and reporting
Advanced Excel skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
