SUMMARY:
My client, a successful wholesale company in SA is seeking to employ a qualified Accountant to join their offices in Johannesburg east. You will support the Finance Department by ensuring the accurate and timeous preparation of management accounts and other financial duties.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Processing cash book and bank reconciliations
General ledger maintenance
Journal processing
Fixed asset register maintenance
Reconciliation of control accounts
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Assist with budget preparation and comparatives
Vat returns and monthly vat reconciliations
Preparation of documentation for audit purposes
Ad hoc accounting duties that may arise

Requirements:

B Comm Accounting Degree or equivalent + articles
Min 3 years’ experience within the financial role
Solid knowledge of financial processes and systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, especially excel
Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans
