Excellent Accountant required. Min. BCom qualification. Min 5-6 years'''' experience in Accountant role. SAP experience. True go-getter, vivacious and robust individual required for demanding role. Experienced in Manufacturing/factory industry will be of advantage.

POSITION INFO:

We have an opportunity for an Accountant working hand-in-hand with the Group Financial Manager in the running of the finance department for the entire group of companies consisting of 7 factories. This is a demanding position that requires a robust and vivacious individual with excellent knowledge, skill sets, and expertise. Must be a strong character with excellent work ethic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Take responsibility for maintaining the Fixed Assets module on SAP
Maintain control sheet for local & foreign capital contracts
Manage imports (liaise with clearing + forwarding agents, foreign suppliers, factory personnel. Costing sheets reporting)
Foreign creditors payments and recons
Check and approve local creditor recons and follow up on reconciling items
Responsible for part of month-end journals
General Ledger recons
Preparation and maintenance of monthly Management Accounts (including SAP recon, queries, and trial balances)
Preparation and journalizing of VAT returns and entries.
Part of quarterly and annual Financial Reporting, working closely with the auditors and rest of the finance team
Motor fleet management, insurance, and purchasing
Banking for the factory shops

Must have experience in multiple business units.
Experience in the manufacturing industries will be a great advantage
Robust and vivacious, willing to go the extra mile in ensuring that the team gets the job done.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

SAP experience will be an advantage
BCom Degree (minimum)
4 – 6 years’ experience
Experience in a manufacturing/factory industry required
Own transport
Must be willing to work alternative weekends.
