SUMMARY:
Our client in the Killarney Gardens, Cape Town area, has an opportunity available for an Accountant.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Matric
B Com or B Tech Degree
3 – 4 years experience from diploma level in one financial department serving multiple business units
Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain, inputs and outputs, product costing
Knowledge of Economics, accounting and business knowledge, Tax legislation
Knowledge of Production Methods, Stores and Warehousing
Knowledge of Variance Analysis, Standard costing or similar, Manufacturing margins, Mathematics, Language and literacy, Computers and electronics, Statutory requirements, Procedures and systems, ISO, Audit compliance, Knowledge of an ERP system such as SAP, Baan, Oracle or JDE or pastel

KPAs:

Ensure the integrity of the General Ledger information
Ensure that the company stay abreast with all statutory laws and changes
Ensure bank reconciliation is done at the end of every period (months)
Preparation of monthly management reports
Continuous improvements of systems
Identifies risks in area of responsibility and immediate operations
Accounting Skills up to Balance Sheet
