SUMMARY:
Are you an immediately available Accountant with SAP experience? Excellent opportunity to join our International FMCG Client to take on a seven-month contract position assisting Senior management with all financial accounting and reporting requirements?

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS

BCom Financial Accounting or equivalent

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance

Experience in working with SAP ESSENTIAL

Sound knowledge of IFRS and monthly reconciliations

Excel – Intermediate (Pivots tables, Formulae such as IF and/or Vlookup)

Excellent attention to detail

Deadline oriented with the ability to multi-task well

Ability to deliver high quality results under pressure

Ability to work both independently or within a team

DUTIES

Prepare and post authorised month end journal entries in SAP

Dealing globally with international branches

Prepare month end General Ledger account reconciliations for submission to the Senior Finance Manager

Assist with the month end inventory valuation process

Assist in the monthly IFRS 16 process

Complete the monthly Freight submission template

Reconcile intercompany balances on a quarterly basis

Submit the monthly AP Cash flow forecast to the Treasury and Controlling Manager

Load monthly payments into the SAP banking portal

Provide explanation for variances between actual and cash flow forecast amounts

Assist with requests for information from both internal and external auditors

Complete quarterly stats questionnaire

General ad hoc duties as request from senior management

Salary: R dependent on experience
