A reputable concern in metering solutions is looking for an Accountant to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing entries to the general ledger system and reconciling bank and company accounts and provide reports for management. The Accountant will be responsible for analyzing expenditure, completing month end reporting and preparing VAT returns. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the internal controls.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
Articles would be preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in preparing and reconciling of accounts, financial reporting and filing of returns to SARS
Working knowledge of SAP general ledger system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple deadlines
Sound understanding and commitment to excellent financial controls
Problem solving and analytical skills
