SUMMARY:
Our client based in Silvertondale, Pretoria, has an ideal position for an Accountant with minimum 5 years experience with a Bcom Accounting and Business Management qualification OR 8 years accounting and financial management experience. Experience using Quickbooks (QB), Quickbooks bank importer, Excel and K8 (Point of Sale) is essential. Steel Manufacturing and Construction/ Steel Retail/ Property Rental experience will be preferable.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities

Creditors Control (30-day accounts, COD and Ad-Hoc purchases) – source invoices, capture, GRV and vat checks, filling and reconciliations.
Debtors Control – credit allocation and control, clients invoices, allocation and reconciliation of payments/receipts across projects/branches, oversee collection processes;
Cash Book – importing, allocating and reconciling all bank accounts, debit card transactions, petty cash, and fleet accounts.
Petty Cash across projects and branches.
Payroll and staff related transactions for example claims and advances.
Tax compliance – VAT, PAYE/UIF/SDL, income tax, dividend tax, etc.
Project accounting and reporting.
Assisting Project Managers and Branch Managers with financial functions across systems.
Payments and cash flow management.
Assist purchasing function (COD payments, 30-day Creditor Account Limits, Cash Flow Projections)
Management reporting to Shareholders.
Archiving.
Compliance and Monthly financial checks and balances in preparation for Financial Statements per company as well as for the group.
