Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Agricultural industry, has an opportunity available for an Accountant in the White River, Mpumalanga area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree
• Articles by small company (SAIPA or SAICA)
• Strong on Excel and preferably Xero
• Experience on Caseware
• Experience with SARS (handling audits etc)
• Experience with inventory systems possible FT

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial statements on Caseware IFRS statement
• Asset registers maintenance and reconciliations with ledgers
• Compilation of company management statements
• Bank reconciliations to segregate it from creditors? I''m not 100% sure about this.
• Invoicing - also to segregate and to capture other qualitative data (SCR, tonnes etc.) for reporting
• Compilation of staff and wage data for reporting
• Follow-up of “open” POs
• Inventory journals
• Follow-up and handling of SARS issues (VAT and PAYE) and audits
• Checking payments
• Submission of insurance claims and follow-up thereof
