SUMMARY:
A company based in Boksburg is looking to appoint an Accountant as soon as possible.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate.
BCom Accounting / Financial Management.
3+ years’ accounting experience.
Strong MS Excel, Syrinx and Sage300 experience.
Good knowledge of VAT Act.
Good knowledge on IFRS.

Responsibilities:

Ensure correct account and branch allocations on income statement and balance sheet.
Process monthly journals.
Match supplier payments from bank on supplier account.
Review creditors reconciliations.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations on all accounts.
Reconcile Syrinx to Sage300 for stock transactions.
Run period end with all relevant reports.
Perform job costing calculation and do analysis.
Perform income statement analysis.
Complete and Submit monthly Tax Pack.
Review banking details of new suppliers and refund customers.
Review and Release supplier payments on bank.
Load and Release international payments on bank.
Submit Monthly VAT returns.
Reconcile intercompany accounts.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, VAT Act and IFRS.
Ensure Audit queries are dealt with.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
General admin tasks.
Report all safety deviations in area of work, identify and report potential hazards in area of work.
Ensure that all incidents are reported to your manager as soon as it occurs but no later than the end of the shift.
Ensure that any unsafe condition is reported to your relevant manager immediately.
Assist in stock counts.
