Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our Client a leader in the Gaming world would like to recruit a Nelspruit based Accountant. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven and focused individual, with at least 3 years’ relevant experience

POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Monthly financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of the cash, bank and accounts payable functions
- Adherence of Internal Control Standards (ICS)
- Annual audit and financial statements
- Administration of fixed asset accounting
- Administration of insurance claims
- Preparation and maintenance of site licencing costs
- Month end processing, income statement review and Bank/Balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of petty cash
- Stock counts
- VAT
- Compliance with all published company policies and procedures
 
 
 
 
 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Matric plus Accounting Diploma or Degree
- Broad knowledge of general accounting principles and financial accounting
- Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, an accounting package (preferably Great Plains) and a fixed asset package
- Ability to work effectively to meet tightly scheduled deadlines
- Willing to work overtime (when required)
