Accountant - George - Western Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A well-established Auditing firm is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team.

REQUIREMENTS:

B.Com Degree in Financial Accounting (or in process) would be beneficial or 5-10 years experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper with an Accounting/Auditing firm
MS Office
Cloud Accounting (Sage)
VAT knowledge
Must be able to work under pressure
Take responsibility for a client portfolio
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
Must be accurate

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drafting & compiling of financial statements
Accounting of closed corporations, trusts and companies
Monthly processing of client information up to Trial Balance
Year-end adjusting journals
Prepare fixed asset registers
General ledger reconciliations
Tax computations of companies, closed corporations, trusts and individuals
Complete and submission of income tax returns
SARS Efiling
