SUMMARY:
Company based in Polokwane is seeking to appoint an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant or Internal Auditor to oversee the management of commitment registers and oversee all accounting functions
POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of financial commitments
in line with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.AS WELL AS ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with policies, and effective internal controls across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting, internal audit, or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Experience in managing commitment registers and budget monitoring is an advantage.
- Familiarity with audit processes and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in Sage Evolution and MS Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIESNot limited to;
- Maintain and manage the commitment register to ensure a timely and accurate recording
- of financial commitments.
- Monitor commitments for compliance with approved budgets and procurement
- procedures.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of external audits.
- Respond to queries and provide necessary documentation for both internal and external audit processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports for decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement in financial systems and processes
