POSITION INFO:

A well-established and reputable company in the wholesale/retail packaging industry is seeking to appoint an Accountant very urgently.

 

Requirements:

• Matric
• Age 30-45 years
• BCom. Degree / Diploma at a tertiary institute (Accounting/Financial)
• Computer literate – Basic Windows Applications (Excel / Word) & Pastel Evolution         
• Minimum Bookkeeping/Accounting experience - 5years
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Responsible and reliable
• Bilingual (Afrikaans & English)

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and oversee finance department with regards to weekly and monthly expenses and revenue.
• Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Identify the financial risk of the organization and propose / implement recommendations to reduce risk.
• Full Debtors and Creditors accounting function. 
• Administer all financial aspects.
• Manage expenses and budget.
• Administer Petty-Cash payments / allocations and reconciliations.
• Salary preparations.
• VAT Reconciliations.
• General administrative work / other duties required by management.
• Feedback to management
• Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved.
• Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability
