Accountant (SAIPA)

SUMMARY:
Our client, a Pharmaceutical company, specialising in manufacturing and distribution, is urgently seeking an Accountant to join their Head Office, based in Pretoria East. The successful candidate should have completed their SAIPA Articles.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting degree.
• Completed SAIPA Articles.
• 2+ years’ post Article experience.
• Experience working on Pastel and Sage Payroll.
• Own reliable transport

Main Responsibilities:

• Cashbooks.
• Daily reconciliation of bank account.
• Manage debt collection and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Inventory management (stock take, variance reports, etc.).
• Customer invoices, queries, statements and credit notes.
• Payroll.
• Compilation of Financial Statements.
• Monthly Management Accounts.
• Budgeting.
• Handling of all SARS related matters such as VAT, PAYE and Income Tax.
• Drafting of letters for clients, suppliers, etc.
• Training and assisting other staff members where necessary.
• Creating and implementation of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Submission of annual returns to CIPC.
• Reconciliations.
• Assisting Auditors.
• Asset Register.
