Accountant (SAIPA / SAICA) (Northern Suburbs, Cape Town) R20,000 – R30,000 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manufacturing concern is seeking an energetic and dynamic Account who has a passion for finance and business accounting, to perform the overall accounting function.

This is an office-based position which does not include remote work.

This position is best suited to a young male.

Requirements:

Accounting Diploma / Completed BCom (Acc) / Related

Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Pastel & Pastel Payroll

Tax Practitioner’s Registration will be BENEFICIAL

Preferably available immediately

Accounting, Income Tax, Provisional Tax, PAYE, VAT, SARS, e-Filing knowledge

Payroll including IRP5 reconciliation experience

Motivated and a self-starter and can work independently

Driver’s license and car

Resides within close proximity to Epping Industria

Must be fully bilingual and fluent in Afrikaans and English

Exceptionally high energy levels

Vibrant and passionate

Excellent time management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Able to work at a fast pace

Problem solving skills

Organizational skills

Able to work under pressure and be deadline driven

Functions include, but not limited to:

- Perform the payroll function

- Prepare and submit tax returns, income tax, provisional tax, payroll, EMP201, VAT and related returns

- Accounting up to financial statements

- Trial balance and recons

- Budgeting

- Verify and control all account allocations, journals and cashbook recons
