SUMMARY:
An Opportunity for a Skilled Accountant in the Construction Sector, in Centurion, Pretoria.

POSITION INFO:
An established organization within the construction industry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity offers exposure to the full financial function, involvement in core accounting processes, and the chance to work in a dynamic, project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the general ledger
Perform reconciliations (GL / recons / TB)
Prepare financial statements up to FS level
Assist with month-end and year-end processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- BCom Degree
Experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Exposure to the full financial function (GL, recons, TB, and FS)
- Experience in the construction industry is advantageous
Skills / Technical Competencies:
- BuildSmart proficiency is a MUST (non-negotiable)
- Strong understanding of accounting processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Other Non-Negotiables:
- Proven experience with BuildSmart (essential)
- Accuracy, reliability, and strong organizational skills
