About the Role

We are looking for a strong Accounting / Payroll Clerk to join our client who offers outsourced accounting and payroll solutions. Bonus: start your weekends every Friday at 2pm !

This role is ideal for someone with solid bookkeeping and/or payroll experience who is comfortable working independently and managing their own workload.
The role is flexible in structure and can be tailored based on your strengths:

Either focus on payroll processing with some bookkeeping, or
Focus on bookkeeping with some payroll responsibilities

Training will be provided in the areas where support is needed.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your core strength, responsibilities will include a combination of:
Bookkeeping Focus:

Full bookkeeping to trial balance
Bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
Managing debtors and creditors
General ledger processing
Assisting with payroll administration (training provided if needed)

Payroll Focus:

Independent processing of bulk payrolls
Payroll reconciliations
Handling employee joiners and leavers
Statutory returns and submissions
Assisting with bookkeeping administration (training provided if needed)

General Admin & Compliance:

CIPC submissions and company registrations
General accounting and company administration support

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping and/or payroll
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience managing:
- Debtors and creditors
- Reconciliations
- Full set of books to trial balance or full payroll processing
Experience with CIPC and company-related admin
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

Qualifications

Accounting degree or diploma (essential)
