Accounts Assistant

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the finance team at their luxurious 5-star lodge. The ideal candidate will assist with the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and supporting the overall financial reporting process. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth financial operations of a prestigious lodge in a stunning, remote environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage and track lodge expenses, ensuring they align with budgetary guidelines.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
• Prepare and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and lodge policies.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
• Assist with audit preparation and other financial tasks as necessary.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar finance-related role, preferably in the hospitality or luxury sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
• A qualification in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
