SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established leader in the wholesale paper industry, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join their Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role provides maternity leave cover and offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting a busy accounting function.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Matric (Grade 12). Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration, a strong advantage. Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. Experience using Sage, Omni Accounts, or similar accounting software. Immediately available or able to start on short notice. Responsibilities: Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accurate allocation to general ledger accounts. Perform cashbook processing and EFT payment allocations. Reconcile petty cash and branch bank card transactions. Prepare and collate payment documentation. Maintain accurate physical and electronic financial records. Update and manage departmental spreadsheets and reports. Provide general administrative support to the finance team. Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting duties as required.
