Accounts Clerk

SUMMARY:
Our client in the East Rand is looking for an Accounts Clerk with debtors and creditors experience.

The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for updating financial records, preparing reports, supporting role for Debtors & Creditors. A successful accounts assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. The Accounts Clerk will work under direct supervision of the Management Accountant.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities

• Print all accounts receivable reports and maintain all account receivable files.
• Input data into the SAGE system
• Assist the Financial manager with management accounts.
• Assist in monthly closing of accounts receivable & payable ledger.
• Meet monthly Accounts Receivable & Payable goals.
• Perform Excel reporting on cash receipts/payments and chargeback resolution.
• Provide information to the Finance Manager for accurate cash flow forecasts as required
• Proficient with word, excel, Microsoft Office
• Proposing enhancements to, revising, and implementing accounts receivable & payable policies and procedures
• Ensure billing is updated on a timely basis
• Prepare, report & manage weekly/monthly Debtors & Creditors aging reports to Management.

• Successful candidates should be deadline driven, able to work under pressure, a quick system learner, master the art of multitasking and preferably have an accounting background.
• The ideal candidate must be highly organized, identify milestones and deliverables, and ensure that invoices are accurately completed on time. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT and numerical abilities are crucial.
