SUMMARY:
A leading Tourism company is looking to employ an Accounts Payable Clerk to be based in Johannesburg North.

POSITION INFO:
My client within the tourism industry, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions for the company.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices, credit memos, and other accounts payable transactions
Verify the accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers
Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payment of invoices
Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
Prepare and process electronic payments to suppliers and employees
Assist with month-end closing and other accounting duties as required
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records
Manage outstanding GRN report to ensure no items are over 60 days.
Ensure that payments are done in accordance with agreed supplier terms to maximize rebates.
Respond to accounts payable queries from suppliers, management, internal clients and auditors
Liaise with existing suppliers and new suppliers on information required
Filing and retrieval of invoices in a methodical manner.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma / BCom degree in Finance
3 years Creditors experience
