Accounts Payable Supervisor Lead the Future of Accounts Payable We're recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for a well-established South African business undergoing an exciting finance transformation. This is not your traditional AP Supervisor role. We're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes, embracing technology, and helping teams adapt to smarter ways of working. The business has recently implemented a new procurement and procure-to-pay system and is looking for a forward-thinking leader who can maximise the value of the platform, drive adoption, and continuously improve efficiencies. If you're passionate about process optimisation, systems, reporting, and leading people through change, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 5-8 Accounts Payable professionals. Drive adoption and optimisation of a newly implemented procurement and AP system. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies across the AP function. Monitor team performance and ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently achieved. Analyse reporting and operational data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities. Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management based on reporting and business performance. Ensure strong governance, compliance and financial controls are maintained. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve end-to-end procure-to-pay processes. Champion continuous improvement and encourage innovative ways of working. Support ongoing change initiatives and help embed new processes within the business. What We're Looking For Proven experience supervising or leading an Accounts Payable team. Experience managing change, implementing new systems, or driving process improvements within finance. Strong understanding of Accounts Payable best practices and procure-to-pay processes. Systems-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and optimise new technology. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret reports and provide commercially valuable feedback. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. A proactive, agile individual who challenges the status quo and looks for better ways of working.
