Accounts Receivable Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client based in the North of Johannesburg is currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join their team on a 12 Month Contract.

POSITION INFO:

Education and Experience:

• Bcom Degree
• Good command of English language
• Minimum 1 year experience with international / multinational company exposure

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the timely applications / allocations of wire payments in order to ensure orders are released on time.

• Support Team Leader to follow up on any variances / reconciling items / part payments with DS, relating to the Wire application/Allocation process.
• Support the wire application / allocation reconciling clerk to ensure it all can be done on a daily basis.
• Assisting with no order releases are performed without correct receipt of wire paymentsand proper allocations.
• Highlight any control issues relating to this process to the Wire Application Team Leader.
• Report / Escalate to the Wire Application Team Leader / Finance Management of any delay in the process with reasons.
• Data Analysis on AR Accounts.
• Assist with clean up daily on all the AR Accounts.
• Prepare refund register , and action all refund requests to be sent to the Treasury Accountant for payment.
• Ensure HCM levels are maintained on a acceptable level daily to prevent any escalations.
• If necessary provide support / cover to Team Leader.
• Support Wire Applications / Allocation Automation project.
• Support reasonable request from Finance Manager to cover absence and excess work load.
• Support any Finance related special projects to support Finance / local Regional Management.
• Support SOX requirements / testing/ submissions if implemented.
• Support in Internal and External Audits.
• Interacts effectively with all levels throughout the Southern African entities, local auditors, local vendors and local distributors.
• Interacts with Regional Finance, Internal Audit and LA based Corporate Finance, Tax and Treasury departments
