Actuarial Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Provide actuarial audit support across general insurance, life insurance, pension funds, and medical schemes
Review technical provisions, IAS 19 liabilities, and IFRS 17 valuations
Contribute to IFRS 17 transition work, modelling, and actuarial audits
Conduct valuation and modelling assignments (reserving, capital, remediation, dashboards, etc.)
Support actuarial function reviews and model enhancements
Engage with clients to improve actuarial processes and risk frameworks
Contribute to business development efforts, thought leadership, and the operational growth of the actuarial team

What You’ll Need:

Qualifications:
- Nearly or fully qualified Actuary
Experience:
- Background in actuarial audit support, consulting, or technical review
- Experience in the insurance, pension fund, or medical scheme environments
- Knowledge of IFRS 17, capital and solvency frameworks (e.g. SAM), reserving, and ORSA is a strong advantage

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in actuarial tools and analytics platforms (e.g. Prophet, Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, and MATLAB)
Ability to draft high-quality actuarial reports and client documentation
Strong understanding of relevant audit standards (e.g. IFRS 13, IAS 19, and ISA 540)

Soft Skills:

Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
