POSITION INFO:

Actuarial Analyst

Rosebank, Johannesburg and Cape Town

Support actuarial operations by performing actuarial calculations and valuations.
Key performance areas are:

To manage a portfolio of clients by managing activities per service level agreement, schedule and requested tasks

To deliver contracted services ensuring quantity, quality and turnaround times are met:

• Perform defined contribution (DC) valuations, prepare valuation reports and presentations
• Perform annuity calculations and pensioner valuations
• Perform IAS19 valuations
• Perform individual, interest and ad hoc actuarial calculations
• Prepare FSCA query response letters
• Complete Section 14 certificates
• Replacement ratio calculations

Qualification and Experience

Relevant Bachelor degree
Progress with Actuarial exams: 4 exemptions or passes
2 years relevant experience
Knowledge of Employee Benefits and wider financial services industry and process would be advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access)
