POSITION INFO:
Actuarial Analyst / Consultant – Audit & Advisory Focus

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in audit and/or consulting who are looking to help shape and grow a newly established actuarial team. You'll work closely with audit and advisory professionals on a range of impactful projects across insurance, retirement funds, and medical schemes, while also being part of the founding actuarial team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Deliver actuarial audit support across a portfolio of clients in insurance, retirement funding, and medical schemes
• Conduct reviews of technical provisions, IAS 19 liabilities, and IFRS 17 calculations
• Support IFRS 17 implementation projects, including transition and policy impact analysis
• Perform actuarial modelling and valuation work related to liabilities, due diligence, capital optimisation, and reinsurance
• Assist with actuarial function reviews and the broader transformation of actuarial and risk management processes
• Engage in data analysis, stakeholder reporting, and business development initiatives
• Contribute to the operational development of the actuarial business unit

• Qualifications:
  • Nearly or fully qualified Actuary
• Experience:
  • Background in audit or consulting environments
  • Exposure to the insurance (life and non-life), retirement, or healthcare sectors
  • Familiarity with audit support and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS 17, SAM, and ORSA)

• Solid actuarial report writing and communication capabilities
• Understanding of actuarial standards and audit frameworks:
  • IFRS 17, IAS 19, and IFRS 13
  • ISA 540
  • SAM / QIS 3
• Proficiency in actuarial software and analytics tools a plus (Prophet, SQL, Python, Power BI, SAS, MATLAB)
