Actuarial Assistant Manager

An Insurance Company is seeking the expertise of an Actuarial Assistant Manager in Johannesburg

POSITION INFO:

ACTUARIAL ASSISTANT MANAGER POSITION

Our Client is currently looking to fill an actuarial position. This position would be ideal for a candidate with:

ï‚· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, with good progress/ have completed the A-level/CT exams,

ï‚· Experience in the Life Industry is essential, in particular, Valuations, Embedded value and product pricing,

ï‚· Experience with using actuarial modeling software such as Basys, Prophet or Moses as well as experience with Qlikview or SQL will count in the candidates favour,

ï‚· Strong attention to detail,

ï‚· IFRS17 experience will be a major advantage,

ï‚· Good problem solving and analytical skills,

ï‚· Excellent communication and Excel skills,

ï‚· Motivated and a team player.

This position will involve the successful candidate being part of a small actuarial team and working with company''s Life’s Actuarial team as well as their consulting actuaries on work such as:

ï‚· Product pricing

ï‚· IFRS17 implementation

ï‚· New product models

ï‚· Claims investigations

ï‚· Valuation data migration

ï‚· Ad-hoc actuarial input

ï‚· Other ad-hoc projects
