POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description:
My client, a leading company in the South African banking industry, is seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to join their family of high performing members.

Overall, the role's purpose involves planning, managing, and monitoring actuarial product processes and activities to ensure effective and efficient delivery of approved operational plans. As part of this role, you will be responsible for supporting effective management of financial risk and business performance. Role responsibilities include monitoring and developing pricing, making substantive contributions to product development, and bringing innovations and improvements to existing processes.

Education:

Actuarial Science Degree
Qualified Actuary or nearly qualified

Job Experience & Skills Required:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in life or group life insurance, including pricing and product development
Good managerial skills
Reinsurance experience will be advantageous
Efficient stakeholder engagement skills
Must be able to perform all actuarial tasks as efficiently and accurately as expected by management
