POSITION INFO:
A dynamic actuarial consulting environment is seeking an Actuarial Manager who is passionate about technical excellence, team leadership, and delivering best‑in‑class actuarial solutions. You will work across multiple African markets, gaining exposure to complex valuation work, IFRS 17, capital modelling, model governance, and high-level client engagement.

• Oversee, review, and ensure the quality of actuarial deliverables, including:
  • Statutory valuations (including IFRS 17);
  • Embedded value reporting;
  • Product pricing and design;
  • Model validation & governance;

  • Technical actuarial audits; and
  • Capital modelling & solvency calculations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards, and actuarial frameworks.

• Contribute to thought leadership through research, publications, and industry presentations.
• Support business development through proposals, client pitches, and technical insight.

• Education – Minimum Requirement:
  • Fellow of a recognised actuarial body (FASSA, FIA or equivalent).
• Experience:
  • 8–10 years' actuarial experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership or managerial position.
  • Strong technical background in insurance, risk modelling, and financial reporting.
  • IFRS 17 experience advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in actuarial software, such as Prophet, MoSes, R, Python, etc.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and modelling expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder and client engagement ability.
  • Leadership qualities with proven team development experience.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of consulting environments.
  • Innovative mindset with ability to apply modern tools (AI and data analytics) to actuarial work.
