SUMMARY:
Actuary

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the role: manage quantitative and actuarial analysis services for the Fund, including monitoring Service Level Agreements with service providers (PIC, actuarial consultants, Administrator, PRI companies and etc.). The incumbent will report to the Head: Actuarial and Benefits Administration Service

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and implement the Fund’s actuarial strategy
Manage outsourced actuarial services
Manage actuarial projects: Experience analysis, National pension account and S-case liability project
Conduct research and quantitative analysis
Monitor and evaluate Service Level Agreement compliance (GPAA)
Manage resources and staff

Qualifications and experience required:

Candidate must have at least passed all TASSA subjects and A311. 3-5 years’ experience in a financial services environment, preferably in an Actuarial analysis position

Demonstrate experience in engagement with Actuaries on valuation issues, interpretation of reports and communication of complex actuarial issues
Solid understanding of the pension funds industry, financial instruments and investment analysis
Experience in pensions valuations will be an advantage

Awareness and understanding of the Pension Fund Industry
Relevant legislation, regulations and procedures e.g. Pension Fund Act etc.
Excellent numeracy and mathematical skills

Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
