SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The role demands keen attention to detail and encompasses a range of actuarial responsibilities, including compliance work, business analysis, and process improvement.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Determine key metrics needed to meet SAM and SARB compliance, in addition to internal reporting requirements.
Perform scenario analysis for the ORSA framework.
Offer technical guidance for evaluating new business opportunities and conducting pricing reviews.
Establish data requirements and create reporting templates to ensure regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish business needs and project requirements.
Track offshore investment distribution across the company.
Make adjustments to individual contracts or revise portfolios as needed.
Design custom data extraction criteria based on specific business objectives.
Consistently improve processes through minor enhancements.
Coordinate with stakeholders to establish project priorities and ensure the clear communication of progress.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science/Mathematics or similar.
2-3 years of experience as an Actuarial or Risk Analyst.
Progression with Actuarial exams (for those on the Actuarial track).
Registered as a student member with the ASSA.
