SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The role demands keen attention to detail and encompasses a range of actuarial responsibilities, including compliance work, business analysis, and process improvement.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine key metrics needed to meet SAM and SARB compliance, in addition to internal reporting requirements.
- Perform scenario analysis for the ORSA framework.
- Offer technical guidance for evaluating new business opportunities and conducting pricing reviews.
- Establish data requirements and create reporting templates to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish business needs and project requirements.
- Track offshore investment distribution across the company.
- Make adjustments to individual contracts or revise portfolios as needed.
- Design custom data extraction criteria based on specific business objectives.
- Consistently improve processes through minor enhancements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to establish project priorities and ensure the clear communication of progress.
Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science/Mathematics or similar.
- 2-3 years of experience as an Actuarial or Risk Analyst.
- Progression with Actuarial exams (for those on the Actuarial track).
- Registered as a student member with the ASSA.
