POSITION INFO:
This role places actuarial expertise at the heart of credit optimisation and risk strategy. The actuary here isn’t just crunching numbers - they’re influencing lending models, shaping collections, and safeguarding profitability. Duties:

Lead credit lifecycle optimisation from loan origination to collections.
Design and implement actuarial models to strengthen decision-making.
Analyse operational and financial data to uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Provide actionable insights to leadership by bridging data with business outcomes.
Build relationships across credit, operations, IT, and management to ensure strategic alignment

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Honours / Postgrad in Actuarial Science or related analytical field.
Nearly Qualified / Qualified Actuary (FASSA) or equivalent commerce professional.

Experience:

3+ years actuarial/quantitative work experience.
Prior management or consulting experience a plus.
Credit risk exposure highly valued.

Skills & Competencies:

Advanced modelling and data interpretation.
Commercially sharp with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Confident communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership capability to motivate and guide teams.
