SUMMARY:
Administration Manager required for Manufacturing concern based on the East Rand to supervise the daily support operations of the Client and plan efficient administrative procedures.

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced Administration Manager to supervise daily support operations of our company and plan the most efficient administrative procedures.

 

He/She must have excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in departmental procedures and policies and will be able to actively discover new ways to do the job more efficiently.

 

The goal is to ensure all support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively to allow the other operations to function properly.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the administrative department and staff members.
  • Training, and evaluating employees and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes.
  • Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring the office and production are stocked with necessary supplies, materials components or services with specified cost, quality and delivery targets; and that all equipment is working and properly maintained.
  • Ensuring continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems to management.
  • Exploring alternate sources for goods and materials, preparing monthly raw material stock schedule on stock on hand and outstanding orders, updating price lists, creating purchase orders, submitting final orders placed to group buying partners, receiving all POD’s of material delivered, adjusting stock, investigating stock discrepancies and resolving it, expediting orders to ensure on time deliveries, building, maintaining and managing supplier relationships.
  • Working with the accounting and management teams to set budgets, monitor spending, and process payroll and other expenses.
  • Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals.
  • Manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory of office and production supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation.
  • Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities, etc.
  • Organize and supervise other office activities (recycling, renovations, event planning etc.)
  • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations
  • Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a related field, such as management or financial reporting, preferred in manufacturing sector.
  • Exceptional leadership and time, task, and resource management skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, coaching, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office.
  • Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to continue building skills through internal opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • Experiences in Health and Safety management will be an advantage.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and flexible
