Africa Business Developer (PV & BESS)

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an African Business Developer with  Distribution and Wholesale experience in East and West Africa to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Sales, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3 – 5 years' sales experience in PV, Solar, BESS, or broader energy efficiency sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of photovoltaic systems, and energy storage
• Proficiency in MS Office and modern CRM systems
• Residential & Commercial PV, BESS
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region (up to 50%)

• Lead key account management, craft compelling commercial proposals, and close strategic deals
• Develop and execute robust sales strategies for PV, BESS, and energy efficiency solutions
• Identify, engage, and secure new distribution partners aligned with our renewable energy portfolio
• Leverage existing distributor relationships to expand market presence in the focus countries
• Conduct market analysis, generate qualified leads, and exceed regional sales targets
• Be the face of the company in regional trade engagements, exhibitions, and strategic forums
• Proven, active distributor relationships across East and West Africa, especially in Zambia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, DRC, Botswana, Malawi, and Namibia but not limited to
