After Market Buyer (Automotive)

Our client, a leading engineering and industrial component supplier, seeks to employ an After Market Buyer for the Automotive division, based in the East Rand, Johannesburg.

Please note that candidates with a strong background in the automotive sector is essential to this role, from a technical and support perspective.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

• You will have Matric, plus a qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain, coupled with 3-5 years experience in the procurement of drive shaft systems both nationally and internationally.
• You will be au fait with generating cost effective and practical solutions to customer enquiries, as well as being able to manage prompt service to both inter-branch and customer orders
• You will have exceptional skills in terms of negotiations, processing or recurrent orders and ensuring sufficient stock levels
• A background in airfreight policies and procedures, for both national and international import/export.
• A solid knowledge of Syspro and Advanced Excel is essential
• You will have excellent communication skills, specifically in English, both spoken and written
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
